Self-agency from connecting to your body

Self-agency is a decision to connect with your body to lead a healthier, better life; to understand the wisdom and communication of the body. You are responsible for your actions and understanding your reactions. When you get more familiar with your sensory system and what your emotions actually feel like physically, you open up to a new sense of self-awareness. Devoting yourself to connecting to your embodiment empowers you and opens up a new perspective of agency and awareness.

Staying in a state of awareness and regularly connecting with your bodymind enables you to understand your ability to create a better life for yourself, or how you can affect the outcome. When you regularly listen to your body you start to understand what it is communicating in peaceful and joyful situations, as well as in stressful and anxious situations.

Anxiety or agency leads you?

When you become familiar with your body’s communication, or symptoms, you learn how to handle the reaction you are having. The communication might be fear, anger, social anxiety, waking up at night with worry, elevated heart beat, digestive issues, panic attacks, or dissociating as a way to just get on with things. When you learn what those reactions mean or where they come from, you can take your power back and act differently.

This way your impulsive reactions no longer have the possibility to lead your life, and instead you have the choice to sense and react from a more aware state. Hence, your reactions and emotions no longer overwhelm you (or others) and you can choose how to handle the situation from a connected and aware frame of mind (and body).

Awareness of your embodiment

When you cultivate a strong relationship with your embodiment and become aware of your sensations, patterns, traits and habits, you become empowered and more resourced. Being in control of the actions you take, the reactions you are having and the consequences it has on your life, is empowering. As you get in touch with your soma and start to understand your embodiment, you learn more about yourself and your reactions, and with this your understanding of self-agency develops layer after layer.

By getting to know yourself, not as a persona, but as a body of wisdom, you suddenly know yourself better, because now you are listening to yourself consciously for the first time. When you get out of your head and listen to your body instead of your opinionated thoughts, you start to understand how the body has the answers you need to move you through your challenges. 

Self-agency changes your self-perception

You cannot always think your way through a problem. Your body however, has the answers to get you through whatever crisis you are facing. It is up to you to learn how to access that wisdom. In private coaching sessions we work deeper on your personal needs, connecting you to your challenges and how they show up in your body, what sensations you are experiencing and how you can bring yourself to a connected and secure place within yourself. Connecting to your embodiment connects you to magic.

Self-agency makes you present with your embodiment and lets you be in touch with your intuition, beliefs and values. Your relationship to yourself changes, your trust in yourself improves, and from this shift you start navigating the world from a more connected and secure perspective. As you connect to yourself and gain a new self-perception, you start relating to people and your environment anew, and learn to trust yourself. Trust and awareness allows magic to happen. Devoting yourself to your embodiment practice is a means of self-care, and developing your self-growth. It is a wellness ritual that makes you think clearly and trust deeply. Do you see it as such?
